Northside Christian Academy is located at Northside Baptist Church on the corner of S.R. 16 and C.R. 225 in Bradford County, Starke, Florida. Toby Roehm is the Administrator/Principal of NCA, along with a very hardworking and dedicated staff of Christian teachers he strives to glorify God while teaching our students to be the best in all that they do.
NCA utilizes two separate teaching facilities, birth through pre-K 4 is taught in the old Sanctuary building, now called the pre-school. The school utilizes the Churches brand new Family Life Center, grades K-4 are taught using the A Beka curriculum, while grades 5-12 are taught using the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow Curriculum. Northside also offers classes in art, music, foreign language, and P.E.
The school’s sports department currently offers volleyball, flag football, boys and girls soft ball and boys and girls basketball. The football team has been district champion for the last two years. The volleyball team has been regional champions 3 out of the last 4 years. The boys basketball team came on this scene this year and became district champions in their first season. The boys softball team was also district champions this year.
Each year the students have the chance to compete in the A.C.E. Student Convention. Elementary students compete in the junior convention. This is a small scale version of the Senior Convention. Our Jr. High and High School students compete at Senior Convention. Senior Convention is a nationwide competition that is broken down into regions. Our region is the state of of Florida and the surrounding Island nations. Convention is an opportunity for the students to display their talents by competing against students from other schools in academics, arts, athletics, music, and platform events.This year our student brought home over 100 medals!
If a student places in the top 6 in the region they automatically recieve the right to compete on an International level against students from 44 other countries. Each year we have students who win this privilege.
It was truly a blessing in which many of the students have placed and brought home awards. If you are looking for a school that offers your child personal, academic and spiritual growth, then Northside is the place to be!
